Popular evangelist Emmanuel Kwaku Apraku, known as ‘Apraku My Daughter’, has passed on days after a video of him drunk went viral.
The Founder of erstwhile King Jesus Ministry International (KJMI) had earlier been reported dead but this turned out to be false.
A few days ago a video of him drunk went viral which many found embarrassing because of his popularity in leading thousands of followers in the early 2000s.
Some said the video was a sign of his end. The person taking the video threatened to put it on social media to let the world see his end.
On Wednesday morning neighbours, who have wondered his whereabouts since the video went viral, found him dead in his room.
Many feIt he may have committed suicide as a result of the video.
But his relatives said he did not have any mobile phone to have seen the viral video.
His divorced wife told Kofi TV that she had planned to visit him on Wednesday to find out how he was feeling after the video went viral.
But she got a phone call about his death and had to quickly call his friend, Pastor Nicholas Osei, popularly called Prophet Kumchacha, to ascertain for themselves.
A neighbor by name Helen said the late man of God lived peaceably with all in the neighbourhood.
She said even many had contacted her to help the man of God after the video of his state went viral.
Pastor Apraku’s body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy
