Ghana has pledged its full support for the ‘One Country two Systems’ of China amid the uprising in Hong Kong.
Foreign and Regional Integration Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey (MP), in a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, said the support to China is being done with recourse to Ghana’s adherence to the United Nations’ policy on non-interference in the domestic affairs of another country.
In that regard, the Minister seized the opportunity to wish the people of China well.
She expressed the hope that China will find amicable solution to the Hong Kong violence.
During the meeting with the Foreign Minister, Ambassador Shi Ting Wang expressed appreciation for Ghana’s open position on the ‘One country- two Systems’ of China’s governance structure.
He was excited about the growing friendship between the two countries and called for continued efforts from both sides to deepen relations for mutual benefits.
