Nominations have opened for senior positions within the Ghana Football Association effective Monday, September 16, 2019.
3news.com checks at the GFA secretariat revealed the first day of the opening was slow as very few people have shown interest in the various positions.
Nomination forms are available online and can also be picked up from the GFA secretariat for the positions of Regional Football Association (RFA) members, Executive Committee members and President of the Ghana Football Association.
Officials at the GFA told 3news.com there has been no significant interest in the positions so far.
Meanwhile, there are calls from some quarters for a review of the filing fees for nominees.
Those seeking Executive Committee positions are required to pay a filing fee of GHS2,500 while those interested in the GFA presidency are to pay GHS5,000.
All female candidates are to pay a filling fee of GHS1,000, and this is an initiative to encourage more women to get involved at the highest level.
