A 21 year-old young woman, Sandra Dede Tetteh, has been found dead at Agormanor in the Eastern Region in what is suspected to be a murder case.
Her body was discovered in a gutter Sunday morning half naked, with bruises around the neck and throat, raising suspicions of a possible strangulation.
The body has since been deposited at the Atua Government hospital for preservation and autopsy.
Sandra’s boyfriend, whose name has been given as Noah Kwao, is being accused for the suspected crime.
Noah and his friend, Abass Teye, were said to have visited Sandra at about 8:30pm Saturday to pick her out.
Residents say that was the last time they saw the victim, who was a teacher at the Vision Royal Academy at Lorm, and has left behind a two-year-old son.
Noah’s house is some 400 meters from the victim’s home and 200 hundred meters from where the body of the deceased was found.
Though Noah admitted to residents that he picked up the deceased to his house, he claimed Sandra left the place just when they arrived there.
According to Noah, Sandra had told them that she was going collect a phone promised her by a male friend and consequently left.
He said that was the last time that he heard from Sandra.
Meanwhile, Noah and Teye have since been detained by the Police in the area to assist in investigations into the case.
Assembly member for Agbom East electoral area where Sandra’s body was discovered, Daniel Nartey, told 3news.com that they currently feel unsafe because of the incident.
He has meanwhile advised on young people in the area not to stay out too late into the night.
