What took off as an exciting night of fun and entertainment came to a halt when hell broke lose after Stonebwoy was pronounced Raggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the 20th VGMAs.
Stonebwoy was on stage with his team to receive his award when Shatta Wale and his boys were spotted angrily advancing towards the stage.
A visibly angry Stonebwoy who did not look pleased with the action pulled out a gun on stage as his Bhim Nation gang mobbed him.
The chaotic scene led to the halting of the show, as some patrons walked out of the Dome.
There has been a long standing feud between the two artistes with each one labelling himself as the leader of the dancehall genre in Ghana.
From social media bant, to verbal attacks, the two have had a go at each other for years, with each of them claiming supremacy.
Things took a different turn Sunday dawn, May 19 when Stonebwoy was announced Ragga/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, something Shatta Wale visibly contested, hence the altercation.
The situation marred what could have been a beautiful celebration of Ghanaian music as the VGMAs mark its 20th anniversary.
