The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu chalked a historic first, Sunday, as he joined Christians to mark the remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The National Chief Imam accompanied by some Muslim clerics and leaders worshipped with the congregation at Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra on Easter Sunday.
This enviable feat symbolises the peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in Ghana, which further cements the country as a beacon of peace.
Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and his entourage were warmly welcomed by Father Campbell. He was presented with a colourful bouquet of flower before he was ushered into the Church.
The visit is in line with the Chief Imam’s longstanding commitment to promote inter-faith relationship between Christians and Muslims.
