Greater Accra regional representative in this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful contest Naa, wowed judges and viewers with her energetic and humour-ridden performance.
Naa who was adjudged the ‘Star performer’ at the second show of 12th season of the competition, took time to highlight different genres of Ghanaian music during the tourism-themed show.
Contestants were expected to sell Ghana through its different cultures to get foreigners and indigenous Ghanaians to patronise Ghana.
The Greater Accra representative dressed casually to suit her performance, educated viewers on the many different genres of Ghanaian music.
She kick started her performance dancing to some old highlife tunes, through to some indigenous Gã kpalogo tunes and some traditional songs.
Naa then transited to some current hiplife and hiphop tunes.
She then went on to perform some rap lines and sang along some of the songs she danced to.
The Greater Accra representative gave backgrounds to some of these tunes, and went ahead to encourage Ghanaians to patronise music brewed and made in Ghana.
Her very educative, creative and energetic performance laced with humour, earned her the ‘STAR PERFORMER’ award.
The other nine contestants also took their turn to sell Ghana in their own way.
Volta Regional representative Dzifa performed as a Travel and Tour Agent who uses her medium to sell Ghana’s unique tourist sites to foreigners.
Abena from the Eastern Region, also educated and encouraged Ghanaians to wear Ghanaian made and designed clothes to project the true identity of being a Ghanaian as she acted as a fashion designer.
Wekia from the Upper East Region also capitalized on various dance moves from her region, as a tool that can be well packaged for foreigners to watch, learn and partake on.
Central Regional representative Tewa, who performed as a Tourism Minister highlighted some tourist sites and recreational places to be seen in Ghana.
Adepa from the Western Region emphasised on a clean environment with a clarion call for every citizen to keep their surroundings clean in order to attract tourists into Ghana.
