Former President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled his flagbearership campaign team.
The team to be led by former Ghana ambassador to US Daniel Ohene Agyekum will manage Mr Mahama’s campaign ahead of the December 7 presidential primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and, hopefully, the 2020 presidential elections.
“I am fortunate to have the backing of such impressive group of hardworking people, who are as committed as I am to the road ahead,” a statement issued on Thursday said.
“Their combination of years of experience, vision, energy and new ideas is inspiring and I am excited to work with them.”
Beside Ambassador Ohene Agyekum, who will manage the campaign team, Nii Vanderpuye Djangmah and Dr Godfred Seidu Jasaw will serve as First and Second Deputy Campaign Managers respectively.
Former Deputy Information Minister James Agyenim-Boateng will serve as the Spokesperson.
He will be assisted by Elsie Esenam Appau-Klu and Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie as his deputies.
Dr Callistus Mahama will serve as the Administrative and Operations Coordinator.
Five persons namely Alex Mould, Kwesi Ahwoi, Priscilla Arhin, Sherry Ayitey and Alfred Abayateye will serve as Stakeholder Coordinators.
The team began a nationwide tour on Wednesday, September 26 in the Central Region.
“We are visiting our delegates in the regions to hear what they have to say, listen to their concerns as well as their views on how we can move the party and Ghana forward.”
