The first casualties of this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful are representatives of the Greater Accra and Upper West regions.
After four weeks of stage performances, the two – Henrietta Naa Ayeley Mensah and Numbu Shaguffa Pelpuo Adams respectively – had to bid goodbye to the show.
They will, however, receive GH¢1,000 each and products from Enapa as their ‘severance package’.
Coincidentally, Ayeley’s Greater Accra Region hosted the launch of this year’s edition at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
She also swept three awards just last week.

‘Laclustre’
On Sunday, as part of the theme of culture and tradition for the night, Ayeley gave the charged audience a taste of Ga dance; kolomashie to be precise.
But she did not impress judge Oscar Provencal, who described her performance as “lacklustre”.
“I didn’t feel it tonight,” he said.

Clothed by Shikka Clothing, Zumbu, whose region produced Season VIII winner Baci, explained some of the proverbs of her land and capped that with the Bawa dance.
She, unsurprisingly, got the thumbs-up from judge Linda Ampah.

Performances on the night were above average as summed up by judge Provencal.
But it was Upper East Region’s Talata who stole the show.
She was named the Best Performer of the night while Adom, representing the Brong Ahafo Region, was named the Most Eloquent.
Northern Region’s Zeinab had almost everything in her favour as she emerged the Best Costumed and the Most Disciplined contestant.
